To facilitate the use of MODIS data, "User Guides" have been compiled for both the snow, and sea ice products. Please note that these documents are "living" documents that describe MODIS data products. The documents are revised as progress is made in developing the snow and sea ice products. Thus, the current state of the products is described in these guides.
